Eduquest Magazine is an educational quarterly, specifically designed to incite and galvanize interest in reading among students in secondary schools; those in their early years of tertiary education and the family in general.
Being a knowledge based magazine, it focuses on a wide variety of issues on human interests that will also broaden the horizon of readers.
Our goal being the revival of the reading culture, which has been worst hit by a deliberate neglect of the education sector by successive Governments in Nigeria, also arising from bad management of nation’s economic resources. This resulted in novels, magazines and popular reading items becoming unaffordable thus the desire to read dropped. Students only read prescribed texts to pass examinations and not for the pleasure to be derived. Thus the electronic media has taken over valued time of the youth. It is against this background that Eduquest Magazine is designed specifically to excite and prod readers to quest for knowledge and sustain their interests in reading. Eduquest magazine is poised to uphold thoroughness as the irreducible minimums while ensuring that we promote reading to the level of being a culture in Nigeria.
Eduquest, our name, captures the essence of the exposure our readers will be confronted with. It is a journey undertaken by those who are resolute about their search for knowledge through reading. |
